Newspaper reporter seeks example of egregrious, building-wide failure of
"new&improved" materials - in NYC area with preservation angle.

Could be 10 year old "never need painting" windows that get thrown out because
they rack and jam.

Could be 5 year old glitzy marble facade over plain vanilla old brick.

Could be (inappropriate) paint on masonry facade that failed soon after.

Could even be a... Delaware restaurant exhaust fan.
