Mike,
Have you tried putting the monitor on another system? From what you said, I
doubt this is the problem, but it will confirm absolutely that the monitor
is good.
Now on to the box itself..... turn the box upside down and GENTLY shake it
to see if there are loose screws/parts.
Next disconnect the drive cableS from the MoBo and power it up. Even
without drives, you should see the BIOS and video info. If it's still dead,
remove the video card and power it up, at this point you are now listening
for beep codes. If it is still dead, then there are only three
possibilities left -- dead cpu, dead MoBo, bad power supply.
