Well you can't make it much worse! :) Although I have never needed to use a
cleaning kit on a CDROM I know some people who have, and it helped their
drives well. I recommend though that you stay away from the "bargain"
cleaners. I have had to clean one of my CD players (a top loading boom box)
which wouldn't read any CDs any more, after the clean it worked perfectly.
