Re: What is "Philadelphia brick"?

Not regarding the brick itself, but I've heard that "Philadelphia joints"
are those thin 1/8" or smaller mortar joints that are so difficult to
repoint without straying and hurting the brick.

If Philadelphia brick is "vey soft"  you can imagine the challenge to rake
and repoint if it has Philadelphia joints.
