My apologies: I meant . . . one hazel-nut SIZED piece of sausage . . .
It doesn't matter what, as long as it is already cooked. Any kind of cooked
meat is good -- I use small cocktail sausages from my supermarket.
But, to complicate the issue, I often eat a tiny piece of raw beef instead.
I don't think it matters what you/I eat as long as it neutralises gastric
juice; it is just that meat has a longer in-stomach dwell time than
carbohydrate or fruit.
