I agree with this in principle, but have so far being unable to figure it
out. How can you eat close to your minimal protein requirements, especially
on raw foods? That often-quoted study about nitrogen balance established our
needs to be 20-25 grams. And this is not on a raw diet. So what are our
actual protein requirements, if we eat all raw, and have an acceptably good
digestion and assimilation? 10 grams? 15 grams? To make matters worse (worse
for my rational mind) now I am being confronted with the idea of limiting my
fruit intake, that after all is a good way of eating little protein and
enough calories. How on earth can you eat enough food, limiting your fruit
intake, and get 20 grams of protein or less? So many foods have so much
protein. You eat a green salad, a lot of it. You eat nuts or seeds, a lot of
the stuff too.
Can anybody design a diet with just enough protein eating little fruit and
sufficient in calories?
