In the past, I have solved 'no CD drive' problems in Win95 by leaving the
device line in config.sys and REMming the command line in autoexec.bat
(Win95/98 does this also in setup).
You may need to reload the drivers from the CD install floppy as there may
be corruption of the original file.
Make sure the jumpers on the drive itself are correct ie: Master, Slave,
etc.
