Thank You friends for getting back so quickly! I am going to try these
shampoos. I like variety it seems to keep the hair from build up. I do have a
low thyroid but I have been on Armour Thyroid for over a years so I didn't
think it was that. I do have ridges in my thumb nails and all my nails seem
brittle though, so it could be vitamin deficiency. Could any of you tell me
what vitamins you use, that seem to work for us Celiacs, because I am taking
very expensive ones and maybe they don't work. I still get poisoned with
gluten at least twice a month or more, so maybe that is disturbing the villa
and absorption. Thanks for your help everyone, you are great. Here's the
shampoos that were recommended:

<< I have DH and get on very well with Pantene Pro V
shampoo and Pantene conditioner. I also use Preference
 by Loreal. >>

---I was told by another celiac in my area support group to use baby shampoos
as they do not contain alcohol (distilled from grains). Pert has a "child"
shampoo that I really like. I've also been using Johnson's and Johnson's
Honey and Vitamin E baby shampoo. I used to use high priced shampoos and
conditioners and I have not really noticed ANY difference in my hair.---

----I use Suave Shampoos and conditioners with no problems. But, beware
as they have some of those designer knockoffs which do contain wheat germ
oil. I always look for any wheat germ oil or oats on the labels. I hope
you have luck finding a good shampoo and hope that you have better luck
with your hair. I sympathize. Have you tried going to a dermatologist?
My mom was having hair loss and they found that it was from psoriasis and
she has special shampoo and her scalp is much better, or course, that may
not be your problem. Also, have you had your thyroid checked? Hair loss
can happen with low thyroid function, or sometimes vitamin deficiency,
among other things.---
