        Tim,
The Windows logon box can be gotten rid of by making sure that
there is no password for it. For example if (the first time you get the
prompt) you type in username TJohnson and type no password and hit ok,
you'll never get that prompt again unless you go into control
panel/passwords and set one up. Now, if there's one already set up, you
need to go into control panel/passwords and set it to nothing. Usually
you'll have to type in the old password, but don't put anything in the boxes
for new password and confirm new password. This should get rid of it. As
for the Microsoft Networking logon, just go into your control panel/network
(or just right click on the network neighborhood icon on the desktop and
choose properties) and at the bottom under Primary Network Logon, choose
Windows Logon. And like I said before, as long as there's no password set
for WIndows Logon, you won't get a prompt at startup. I too have a cable
modem, and mine is set up so that it saves logon name and password so all I
do is click on the icon to connect and it logs me on and then starts the
browser. Hope this helps.
