Alyssa is allergic to dairy and was allergic to soy when she was younger.
I also decided that I could not provide her an adequate diet as a
vegetarian toddler without dairy (or eggs) or soy.  If you can include
soy in your diet (or can eat some non-toddler-friendly foods often!),
then a "complete veggie" diet can be healthy, also.
I added chicken, turkey and fish to Alyssa's diet, although both
parents are still vegetarian (we do dairy and soy, not eggs due to
risk of contamination/anaphylaxis).

Laurie (and Alyssa, 4yo, allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts and walnuts)
