Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822).
Gratias a Ensjo, Mario e

Con un emotion dulce;
Nil existe sol in iste mundo,
Tote cosas, per un divin lege
Se junge in le mesme spirito
Perque non io con le tue?
Vide le montes le Celo basia
Inter se le undas se imbracia
Si illa repulsa su fratre, un flor
Non esserea un bon soror
Le sol imbracia nostre terra
E le luna basia le mar anque
De que valor iste cosas sera
Si tu non basia me?
[le original in anglese:
Love's Philosophy
The fountains mingle with the river
And the rivers with the Ocean,
The winds of Heaven mix for ever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In one spirit meet and mingle,
Why not I with thine? -
See the mountains kiss high Heaven
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister-flower would be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth
And the moonbeams kiss the sea:
What is all this sweet work worth
If thou kiss not me?
