Hi Folks,
I just got a confusing reply back from Knudsens about a question
I had concerning one of their juices -- Lemon Ginger Echinacea. I am
hoping that someone else has had some experience with Knudsens and
can shed some light on this, as I'm not so comfortable with the
response. Part of their letter follows:
"Our natural flavors do not contain any preservatives or refined
sugars and they do not contain MSG. The flavor components are
blenede in a base of grain distilled alcohol made mostly from corn.
The alcohol does not contain any protein, and gluten is a protein."
My concern is that the alcohol is made from MOSTLY corn which implies
other grains were used as well. And I'm not comfortable with the
argument that since it doesn't contain a protein, there is no gluten.
I will probably call Knudsens again but would like to hear other
peoples thoughts on this.
Thanks,
Carl
