a brief note for the newcomers, re: NFL/David Wolfe.

NFL used to be on this list, but were removed for extreme and chronic
hostility. The book, "Nature's First Law" is (to parody the language
of NFL) a "massive raw foods plagiarism" of the book "Raw Eating".
"Raw Eating" was written by Arshavir Ter Hovanessian, and published
in English in Iran in the 1960's.

Wolfe also plagiarized the book, "Darwin on Trial" by Phillip Johnson,
to produce an essay criticizing evolution. He did this after he could
not overcome the extensive fossil record evidence that humans are
natural omnivores/faunivores, and are not frugivores/vegans. Wolfe
calls
himself the "world's foremost promoter of raw foods." Perhaps he
should
advertise himself as the "world's foremost plagiarist," instead? :-)

This list has an archive and the record is there for all to see.
The address is:

http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/raw-food.html

To see the evidence of the plagiarism, start with Feb. 98 (title
thread is
something like "More plagiarism from NFL"); see October 97 for the
plagiarism of "Darwin on Trial."

To see NFL in hostile action, read the months of Nov. 96 - Jan 97.

To see a letter regarding David Wolfe making threats of violence
against
someone re: last year's Raw Expo in San Francisco, do a search on
the last name of the author of that letter: Morin.

NFL was also thrown off another list, veg-raw, again for chronic
hostility.

The above is only a small part of the story of NFL.

Some folks try to justify the behavior of NFL, via an "ends justifies
the
means" argument. Sorry, that does not work. Plagiarism and hostility
will not make the world a better place.

I encourage all who have not seen the evidence in the archives, to
read it
for themselves.
