Hi Charly
I had an AMD 233 I had put together a few months ago with a 7 gig hard
drive.
Originally I had installed it with the Disk Overlay and the hard drive
light was on all the time.
After having trouble with the system I reinstalled without the OverLay and
the Hard drive light started working.
I've had other computers with Over Lays on them that I DO NOT remember
having this same problem with.
This may have nothing to do with your situation but I thought I'ld throw my
2cents worth in.
