I just dumped my USR Winmodem today as a matter of fact and I am happy that I
did. I bought a Zoom V.90/K56Flex dual mode "hard" modem Model 2919 for ~$68
after rebate. I have already run the modem here on my 98 partition, on my 95a
partition, on my 95b partition, on my NT 4.0 partition, on my NT 5.0 partition
and on my Red Hat Linux 5.2 partition. Yes, I am an OS addict 8-)
Anyway, the modem runs great. I have had nothing but 50,666 connections on all
of the partitions. Highly recommended.
