  IIRC (If I Recall Correctly), it uses an 80286 CPU and an ESDI
controller/drive.  I believe it does need a "reference diskette" to
get into the CMOS; that, at least, should be downloadable from IBM's
web site.

  I suspect that Linux wants at least a 386, with its MMU.  I don't
know if there's an ESDI driver for Linux.  Could be possible, but I
think the machine is just a bit too old for what you have in mind.
