Recently, my brother was deleting some Win95 files, he was not using and
installed a different HD to the System to us,e it. When he was trying to
backtthe computer does 3 beeps, and tries to read de HD and then
booting from floppy. I was trying to boot with some bootable system disc,
but it apears that read my disc and starts read files, but the problem is
that I can't see anything in the screen, so I don't know what's going on
with systems errors. Also the lights on HD C: and bottable disc remain on
for long period (15 to 30 sec. until they turn off).
The following is the Info of the System:
CPU: 120 MHz Pentium clasic.
MoBo: Intel i430FX PCI chipset
BIOS: Award Software 2A59CF52
Memory: 8 MB, 72 pin SIMMS
HD: 1.2 GB
Disc Units: A:(5.25'') and B:(3.5''), D:(CD-ROM; I don't remember specs)
Monitor: VGA, Packard Bell
Video Card: Trident, 2MB.
But that's not all. Because I was having problems with the reading
of drive A: (5.25'') y decided to change flat conector to drive B:(3.5''),
in order to make it the bootable disc, even when it's suppous to be an
5.25'' floppy and not 3.5'' in the CMOS set. After that, it looks like it
can be read it and booted, but still I can't see anything in the monitor.
I suspected from Video Card due the 3 beeps on POST (the first
appears to be longer than the others two), I replace with a new one
Cirrus Logic, but the problem remains the same. My Brother suspecs, he
delete an important file or maybe some bad data wires from HD or floppy.
How could I get to see the msdos mesagges or SOMETHING in the
monitor who helps me see what's going on here? someone could help?
Thanks in Advance.
