I'm not exactly sure why you are getting the
..Boot2>, but as for the rest of it, if you are
able to boot to a floppy and access the drive then
the Master Boot Record may have become corrupt.
Boot to your floppy that has fdisk on it and type:
FDISK /MBR
This should correct the problem. I had this happen
with a larger hard drive not to long ago and it
fixed it without a problem.
