Ken,

Reading your review of Margot Gayle's book on James Bogardus reminded me of my
freshman year in architecture school reading Sigfried Giedion's book Space,
Time, and Architecture: The Growth of a New Tradition and being fascinated
(blown away, actually) by his description of the evolution of modular building
components and design of frame based structures. I no longer have a copy of the
book, but I think it's time to visit Amazon.com and pick up a copy of Cast-Iron
Architecture in America as well.

Thanks,

Lisa
