I hear you. My mailbox was packed with 450 messages yesterday. But I
would not worry about it, as the pace is about to slow down.

>not to mention the content appears hostile, verbose and
>propagandistic.

I agree, this has been quite unfortunate. But as the present debates
die out, we will be getting back to a more civil discourse.

>If you decide to go with the veg-raw and food-raw lists, I might

I would hate to see this list divide in to two and would find it quite
sad if it did. However, if raw vegans (or instinctoes, fruitarians
etc.) need a sanctuary where only issues pertaining to their particular
school of thought are discussed I fully respect that, but that is not
what this list is all about. What it is about is embracing the full
diversity of the many approaches to raw foods in the acknowledgment
that not one shoe fits all, and from this in constructive dialogue
share of the bounty of experiences we all have.

>It's just too intense for me right now.
>I appreciate discussion and debate, but not to this extreme.

I think most of us can relate to that as it has been pretty intense
lately, but if you hang around a little longer I think you will find
that we can also be a pretty mellow bunch.

>In addition, there are so many off-topic discussions that in other

To me that is the charm of this group.

Elena, I hope you change your mind and give us a second chance - I
think you would be a great addition to the list - but if you
unsubscribe the best of luck to you, and if you come across anything
exciting in your research do not hesitate to come back & share it with
us.

>If anyone feels like recommending any particular book for a newbie
>like myself, feel free to e-mail me. (Please respect the fact that I

IMHO the all-time best book on the raw vegan diet is "Improving on
Pritikin - You Can Do Better!" by Ross Horn. (ISBN 0 959 4423 9 1) It
is published in 1988 by Happy Landings Pty Ltd P.O. Box 277 Avalon
Beach NSW Australia.
