If a Zip drive works on the same printer port, then I cannot see that it is
a hardware problem. I used to use a Zip drive and replaced it with an
Iomega 800 on the same port with no problem. It could be a conflict. What
software are you using?
Are you using the tape drive on the port with something on the passthrough?
