Hello,
I think I have an artifact rather than anything that can be used
productively. However, I thought to ask those who know more than
myself. Hope this is not too far off topic.
An Archive Tape Drive, Model 2150L, came installed in an old server that I
"reclaimed". Along with the 486DX-33 Motherboard, floppy drives, and
controller, came an Archive Tape Drive controller, OIC2 interface 50 pin,
what looks to be an old floppy connection but 50 pins wide on the drive,
and on the controller the flat data cable attaches by a regular 50 pin
SCSI recepticle. In fact that's what it is, a SCSI controller. SC402 model
80567-102 REV H. There are jumpers for IO address, IRQ, DRQ, DACK. It has
an FCC ID but I suspect it will tell me Archive Corp. Tape Drive.
So, if anyone knows what size tapes this thing takes, where I might find
software,(the server came to me with two other SCSI controller's, but no
hard drives), I would be much appreciative. In fact any info on this beast
would be fun to get hold of.
