We eat true yams, malanga, lotus roots, jeruselum artichoke tubers... We
also eat them dried, ground into flour, and made into flatbread.  Since most
members of our family require some carbs to maintain a reasonable weight on
the paleo diet, this seems a pretty good way to get them.
