I have heard the bump-on-the head story, but I also vaguely recall
reading - probably in the back of an old (1970's) printing of one of
his books, that I *thought* said he died of consumption (tuberculosis).

Tuberculosis is the ultimate mucus disease, and would be ironic - if
that info is correct (and as I said the details are vague to me) -
as Ehret was so vigorously anti-mucus in his day.

If anyone has info on this, please post - some of us are quite interested.

P.S. it was Ehret's writings that I read in the late 60's/early 70's,
that got me into raw. Nowadays I consider him to be a bit of a
wacko.

Regards,
Tom Billings
