Hi,
I installed Caldera Open Linux 2.2 on my computer last night and now I have
a few questions. One, how do I get it into character mode? I tried
Ctl-Alt-Backspace and that only takes me back to the graphical login screen.
Two, is there an RPM manager with Open Linux 2.2 that works in character
mode. My video card doesn't work right with KDE and I need to install the
driver. Third, ever since I installed it and the copy of Boot Manager that
is with it, my Secondary IDE (which has a Zip Drive on it) shows an
exclamation point and I can't access my Zip. Anyone know a fix for that (it
is Partition Magic's Bootmanager version 1.01).
My System:
Asus P5A-B motherboard, Aureal's OEM Vortex2 card, Guillemont's Maxipheonix
(Voodoo Banshee), 128 megs generic ram, 13.0 Gig HD partitioned into two
Fat32 drives, a Linux Swap File (128megs), and a Linux Ext-2 drive.
TIA,
Donald Gaither
