Mike,
Since your subject line is Modem and you mention Cell Phones and Laptops,
I'm going to guess that you are more interested in a hardware solution
than a web based mail server.
One solution may be to get a notebook PC with a modem that can connect to
the cell phone. In the early days of cell phones, there were several
modem makers that offered special modems to hook up directly to a cell
phone. I do not keep up with that part of the market so I don't know if
they are still available.
A second solution is to get a Palm VII organizer. This is a wireless
version that can connect to the internet from anywhere in the US (or as an
option - the planet), but it requires an access account with Palm.Net.
