CD-ROM drive

I installed my CD-ROM drive in September.  There are three
annoyances with the drive.  One is that when the drive starts
up or shuts down, there is this high pitched whine.  Another
is that when I push the eject button, the CD doesn't eject
right away.  There is a 15-30 second delay. The last bug is
that when I play audio CDs, the drive will play to the end of
the CD.  But it does not shut off, nor does the CD icon in the
Systray shows it stopped.  The light stays on like it's
playing, but it's at the end of the CD.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
