Greetings all;

        Thanks to John and Rick who responded to my question. I had already
increased the stacks in config.sys, but had not done so to the maximum
of 64,512 as suggested. This did finally solve the problem while running
Win 3.11, but I was still unable to install video card drivers for the
ATI Wonder while in DOS 6.22. The error messager similar to
"Insufficient stacks, disable TSR's" comes up during the exploding of
the files from the floppy to the HD. However, this is very much a minor
issue.
        Thanks again.

Bill

My mother's computer will intermittently freeze after displaying the
"Stack Overflow" message. It is increasing in frequency.
        The system is used solely for freenet access, a few card games
and an
old Dos version of Word Perfect. It can happen while any program is
running.

System is running WFW 3.11

386 DX 40 (cheap no-name MB)
2 Meg Ram
