I think you made many of the same mistakes parents of non-allergic kids
make, especially just trying to do way too much! Give yourself a
break. You did learn a lot from this and your daughter didn't get
overly sick from anything, and that is what is the most important!
Dealing with toddlers and the holidays is hard to begin with. Allergies
and families/friends just make it more difficult, even when they are
trying to be cooperative.
Be sure to write lots of thank you cards or at least thank you phone
calls to make sure they realize how grateful you are for their efforts
on her behalf. It will make things twice as easy next year when they
want to bring something to share at your house!
