Lynda,
I know of several other cow's milk protein allergic people who can do goat and
sheep's milk. I'm not saying it works for everyone, nor am I wanting to start
an argument. No, I am not anaphalactic to cow's milk (that is for my shell-
fish allergy), but it's not just that I break out in hives either (that is for
my oat allergy). The cow's milk is somewhere in between the other two in
severity. I acknowledge that myself and other's with a cow's milk allergy who
can do sheep's and goat's milk are lucky, but we are not alone. My favorite
dairy-free cookbook (By Beth Kidder) was written by a woman who's children
were allergic to cow's milk, but could tolerate goat milk products. It's just
an idea I was tossing out, not for everyone, but some may find it helpful.
