Is there a lactose-free alternative to the medication? In some cases there
is another brand of the same medication, or a similar enough substitution
that can be taken. For example, Allegra, Claritin and Claritin-D contain
lactose; but Claritin RediTabs and Claritin-D 24 hour formula do not. I
wouldn't risk it if there are alternative medications.
