Following Kate's lead, I have taken to deleting Alan's posts
unopened.  Nevertheless, I still see some of the stuff in the
form of replies to his posts.  Like this example:

Alan:

Martha:

So, Alan, do I understand from this you've been quoting from
Jane Goodall's research?  Does this mean you find it sound
and rational, not clouded by overemotionalism?  Have you
gone soft, or do you secretly suspect Ms. Jane is a man?
