I agree that a firstline company can be an attractive PC purchase
option for business users. Still if you can find a good clone
manufacturer with quality parts and
local warranty service that can be a good choice also. We used Dell for
4 years and were very happy with their machines and service (phone
service was immediate and site visits when needed were always prompt).
But the last two years we leased Dell 70 machines and were unhappy
with the termination clause (the third party handling the lease wanted a
huge amount of money for us to buy the leased computers at the end of
the lease). So now we are leasing 70 more from a Texas clone company
called Corbey with a buyout of $1 at the end of the lease. Hopefully our
warranty service will be as good as we got from Dell.
