Since I use quite a few of the Microstar MS-5184 motherboards, I decided
to investigate this issue. I pulled down the manual from their web site
and reviewed it. It is basically the same as the MS-5184 board and
I install these all the time with just mounting screws, no washers needed.
My opinion without checking with Tech Support at Microstar would be
that you have some bad motherboards. That can happen, especially
if they were part of a bad run during production. I would return them
for replacement or credit...
