Greetings-
I posted the following question to the PCBuild list and didn't get much
response, so I'm trying this list:
The mobo(Aopen AX59PRO) I used to build my new machine came with bus
mastering drivers, which I installed after installing Win95. Nothing went
up in smoke, and in fact, the machine seemed to run faster. I later removed
the drivers during debugging and am now hesitant to reinstall them since
the machine operates well.
Up until now, I've never paid much attention to the issue of bus mastering
drivers, but I seem to recall that they've gotten a lot of bad press in
general, and I'm wondering why. What's the problem?
Thanks-
