I'm not sure it would work with 13-year-olds, but the primary difference is
like the difference between long-term and short-term memory. You tend to
remember lots of things for a short time and then the more important ones
are saved to long-term memory. Like the difference between remembering
what you had for lunch and what you got for your last birthday.
