The most... interesting... part of my trip to Memphis (yes I did see
Graceland) was actually the getting there. Most extraordinary was Graceland
Too in Holly Springs, MS, the home of Paul McLeod, and his son Elvis Aron
Presley McLeod who have transformed their suburban home into a replica
Graceland, and have filled the ENTIRE interior with merchandise relating to
Elvis (I am not making this up.) Paul and his son man a fleet of VCR's day and
night, scanning the television for any mention of Elvis, they have an entire
library of TV Guides, marked with paper clips when a mention of Elvis occurs,
newspaper articles, clippings, ticket stubs, and recordings related to Elvis.
They open their house to the public 24 hours a day.

Oh yea... and Paul showed us the gold lame suit that he plans to be burried
in. When Paul's wife offered him an ultimatum: Elvis Presley or me... Paul
chose Elvis (or so he proudly told us.) He also claimed that he'd been locked
in Elvis' crypt after his death, but I didn't quite get the logistics of
that...

Graceland was so tame after the McLeod boys, it was almost a letdown.
