I'm getting ready to expand the Directory section of my website and would
be interested to hear about peoples' favorite restoration stores. Instead
of one large Directory of Suppliers I'm developing separate Directories for
Canada, the US, UK and New Zealand. The Australian Directory is already
done. Soon, visitors to the site will be able to select their country and
then find a supplier to provide whatever it is they need.
Just to define my terms here, by restoration store I mean a place which
specialises in selling just about everything for old houses - hardware,
lighting, fireplaces, tiles, doors, whatever. I've already put together a
reasonable listing of salvage outlets. In a little while, I'll be adding
lists of specialist suppliers of milled timber, hardware, lighting etc.
To add a company to the Directory I need its name, address, phone/fax
numbers and URL (if any). As far as possible I'd like to leave out the
sharp operators and only list the good guys. That's why I'm asking the
Pinheads for nominations. Hope to hear from lots of you!
