It's been a long time since I've used Stacker so
correct me if I'm mistaken.
Stacker "hides" the actual Boot Drive C: as
another, hidden drive letter and the Stacked
"volume" becomes the putative C: drive. Therefore,
you have to put the startup files on that hidden
drive letter (the "true" C: drive). The free
space on the actual C: drive may be too small
to allow you to SYS that drive.
At some point, a hardware solution (upgrading
the hard drive) makes more sense than refining
the software solution (Stacker) any further.
Good luck.
