Neolithic culture spread in middle Europe not "very slowly" but very fast
(with about 5000 meters per Year).
Where the roots in Syria may be found shortly after the ice-age
(maybe 8000 BC),
the spread of the neolithic culture ("Linearband")
lasted from 4600 BC (from the Balcan) until about 4400 BC until
the West of todays France, Poland... most of middle Europe.
Not many Years later the megalithic culture emerged or formed out if it.
This was _after_ a period of 1500 years where _most_ of all tree-vegetation in
Europe were hazelnuts( ideal gatherer food.....)
New neolithic food consisted mainly of two grain sorts and lentils.
These two together give a protein which is about
15 Percent _more_ complete (better) than that of meat, btw..
Just some little dates....
