Sandy,
Believe it or not, Bertucci's (which is a pizza restaurant in the
northeast) is very accomodating about dairy allergies. I am milk allergic
and if I tell the server before I order, they will get the manager and he
will personally watch them prepare my meal to make sure there is no cross
contamination.
Also, Appleby's has some selections which are dairy free.
As a precaution, tho, with ANY restaurant you should make it a point to
tell your server before you order that you are allergic to milk and cheese
(some don't think about it and sprinkle grated cheese on pasta before it
comes to the table).
Good eating!
