Me, too! Me, too!
Unfortunately, she also has egg, peanut and nut allergies, so the suggestions
are quite limited.
Here's the favorites of the week...
1. Plain noodles, cold, with a bit of dairy-free margarine and salt (not much
protein, unfortunately).
2. Plain bagel with butter - she eats part of it for morning snack, part for
lunch.
3. She'll sometimes eat a few bites of tuna, or salami/summer sausage, but not
regularly.
4. Any kind of mini-muffin (homemade, I hide a bit of veggies or protein in
these, but it's not much!)
Opening the tupperware,rubbermaid containers is a real problem for little
hands... I went to visit during lunch one day, and 5 or 6 kids (K-1 gang)
asked the teacher for help! Alyssa loves cold or room temp. food, so no
problems with heating or keeping things hot. But her daily food variety has
definitely gone down since preschool where they cooked food for all the kids,
including her allergies!
