It is a pity to see neat objects go, especially when there is technique
available to remove and move them. Last year a few of us in NYC (PIN) got
involved in trying to save some Keith Haring paintings from the interior of a
building slated for demolition... but the Keith Haring foundation actually
wanted them destroyed. It was an interesting exercise in futility. We also got
a taste of humble pie when encountering the "art" world during our adventure
-- my conclusion was that it is best the naive aesthete stay clear. On the
brighter side, Apple was hired to move some mosaics out of Peepland on 42nd
Street.
