Probably for the same reason CoffeMate and other 'nondairy' creamers
contain sodium caseinate and yet still claim to be 'dairy free' (at least
they now put "(a milk derivative)' after 'sodium caseinate' in the list
of ingredients, but they still emblazon 'nondairy' or 'dairy free' on
the front label...

Does anyone have a clue as to why they seem to be legally able to do
this?
