Latin "posse" (poter), presente "ego possum", "tu potes", "is potest"
etc, le base del "poter" (nonne?), es un contraction de "potis/pote"
(capace) + "esse" (esser).  Ergo on pote dicer que "potesser" es
historia iterate.

Latin pro "it may be that it likes an apple" es "fieri potest ut pomum
ei placeat" (fieri es le passivo de facere, realmente "it may happen
(be done) that ...").  An "(il) pote occurre que ..." es bon
interlingua?  Nos ha le mesme construction in Scandinavia: "det kan
hende at ...".
