There is a great collector of sands; called the SANDMAN; he exibts at rock
shows; I believe he is on the internet now ;he lives in N.Mex (?) and
invaluable source for sands..I will look for his card...there is also
J>Soloman Industrial sands (?) out of Chicago (?) again card is at the office
and finally; although not easily available is the Great Sand Library at
Columbia Univ...School of Preservation; ask Norman about that one...as half
the people there don't know where it is...finally the state of Mississippi has
some of the most interesting sands (color wise) it is where alot of where the
sand man gets his sand..almost all of these weird sands are unavailable
commercialy you have to hike tru the swamps to get to them but they are
beautys to behold...Michael
