There are a couple instances where this works. One example is those people
that put multiple packets of sugar in coffee. Going cold turkey and they
think the coffee is awful. Cutting back a little bit every day, and in a
few weeks they will be down to nothing. Then if they drink coffee with the
multiple packs they find it sickening sweet. This should also work with salt.
