It makes sense. Cholesterol is a major component of brain
tissue. Triglycerides are probably elevated because the mother
is consuming more calories and is, in fact, in fat-storing mode.
I would imagine that these are rather anabolic times in a woman's
life, to offset the catabolic demands of the prenate/neonate.
