To your information: bran is a *very* nutritious food item.
It has a protein content of 15% which is comparable to your
ground beef(16.7%). And in terms of vitamin and mineral-content
it's much better in many aspects.
Bran is the best parts of the seed.
*If* you don't assume to be
allergic because of gluten, lectins, phytates
or whatever.

Still I'd consider the whole seed as better, because so much protein is
way too much - it hasn't enough calories - like meat.

Most people here consider wheat as non-paleo, but there are other seeds
which were available in paleo and savanne times, wich have
similar profiles.
