Has anyone successfully treated their Mutiple Sclerosis following the
Neanderthin Diet which allows unlimited consumption of saturated fat?
Yes, me!
I started a gluten free diet the end of December 97 (my neuro problems had
started the first part of May 97). Actually, it was a fresh fruit, veggie
and meat diet (more paleo than GF) because at the time I didn't know what
foods might have gluten in them. With in four days there was a difference
in my gate and my foggy mental state. I felt like I had come out of a coma!
I then played around with a GF diet using corn, soy etc just long enough to
figure out that even those GF foods were making me sick too. That's when I
started the Paleo diet and Im doing great! Today I ate two eggs for
breakfast, a hamburger pattie for lunch and two pork chops for dinner. I
don't think a thing about getting too much fat in my diet. Most of the time
I just eat fruit and some nuts for lunch and at dinner I eat some kind of
veggie with what ever meat I have. Today it just worked out different, no
big deal. I do make sure that if I eat chicken one night, I then eat some
kind of red meat the next day. I just feel better and can tell that I need
it. I don't know why because none of the blood work I have had, ever showed
I was anemic. The other thing is that I just cant eat large amounts of food
(six or eight pieces of bacon and three or four eggs) or whatever. I just
don't need that much food I guess, two eggs and I'm full!
